New Blog: Outside of the studio
Hey everyone,
I’m just checking in from the studio but if you’re wondering if I’ve been able to do anything else this last week besides working on the album, I was able to go to the Journey with Heart and Cheap Trick concert last night!! Woo Hoo! haha. The sad thing was I missed Cheap Trick and part of Heart because I was recording
, but at least I was doing something productive and important haha. So I’m bummed I couldn’t see the first part of the show, but Heart was amazing as always. Journey was incredible too!! I was able to go backstage and meet them during the intermission after Heart’s set, and I have to admit I was nervous because I felt like I was just bugging them and invading their space haha. But they were waaay nice. They have the new singer Arnel Pineda, and I can’t believe how amazing he can sing. He’s Filipino, and blew me out of the water! Another sad part is I didn’t bring my camera since I was thinking about recording before haha, but I tried getting pictures of them performing on my iPhone. I’m a terrible photographer but oh well. I actually have some really random pictures on my iphone from tour, but I think it’d be fun to post them anyway just so you can see what I tried to take pictures of wandering around haha. But I’ll think about it, since they’re not exciting.
I definitley wanted to take a minute to thank everyone again for your support. I can’t believe how well “Crush” is doing and I’m so happy that you all like it. Everyone has been so supportive, from the reaction to the song and video to the comments and voicemail messages I’m getting. I’m working really hard on this album and hope everyone loves it!
Well that’s it for now. I’ll try to post another blog soon.
David
Oh! P.S. haha. I just wanted to let you know about this girl on Youtube I was shown named Savannah. She sang a version of Crush that was cool and different. I seriously felt honored that she would sing it lol, and she’s only 15. So you should check it out!

Quick hello from the dressing room
Hey guys! It’s me yet again. I got a chance to go back to utah for a few days to record and had such a great time being home! The whole family was finally able to all hang out and spend time together, and went out to eat haha. I didn’t really have time to hang out with anyone else since we did a lot of music with some cool people based in Utah, but I’m glad there was time for family. Family’s first so that was important to get in haha. Anyway I’m in Detroit right in the dressing room for a Ford executive event that Cook and I are performing at, and it should be fun. I need to get going now but just wanted to check in while I had a chance. Take care
Download Crush!

The pretty Crush video is now available on iTunes for $1.99 – and after a day, it became #1! Don’t stop gifting/buying copies. Let’s keep it there for a long time!
ET aired a segment on the set of Crush. It’s a shortened version of the one posted online this morning on ETOnline.com. You can watch it here on YouTube.
It’s safe to say that Archie will be a main stay in the teenie magazines, so get your subscriptions ;o) I added scans from Pop Star (which includes a scan from the K Munyan photo shoot), J-14, Blast, and Astro Girl and a few others.
Archie Blogs: Final AI Show
Hey everyone!! I’m here in Tulsa for the last day of the tour and it’s pretty sad but exciting at the same time. I don’t think we’ve ever seen so many gifts in the dressing rooms before, and I hope there’s enough time to look through everything today haha. But wow! I can’t believe it’s the last day! It’s actually hard to believe, and I don’t think it’s really hit all of us that it’s the end of the whole American Idol experience together. It’s been an AMAZING year. I can’t wait to see the different directions everyone’s careers go now, and I’ve become a big fan of all the other guys. It’s just such an honor to be with the 9 of them along with the awesome band, and I’ve learned soooo much. It’s also been so cool to see all the fans at different cities! And I’ll miss seeing all the different shirts and signs for everyone haha. Especially the crazy stuff that the Dreadheads come up with. Oh my gosh they make some of the funniest, most unique things lol. But it’s been great to talk to fans and see familiar faces in different cities. I can’t thank you guys enough for making some of the best memories on the tour. There’ve been so many crazy stories I’ve heard on how people worked so hard to get to a city to watch a show, cool letters that also tell amazing stories, and I’ve also made a lot of friends haha. So thanks everyone for making the tour one of the greatest times in my life!
Other than the end of the tour, I’ve still been working on the album some more and had some more things to do on my day off yesterday haha. I got to meet with some pretty cool people and try to write songs. Writing is just so much fun, and there are so many different ways of doing it. I also got surprised this morning (after some more recording haha) by my grandma who came for our final show thanks to some amazing people who made it possible for her to come. Thank you guys so much for allowing her to be here and treat her so well, she’s been having such an awesome time. My mom was also finally able to come up and be my guardian for the last few shows! It’s been so great to spend some one on one time with her and have her see what it’s like on the road. But anyway I better get going since this has turned out to be pretty long haha. For those going tonight hope you have/had an awesome time at the show! Adios.
P.S. Make sure to remember everyone down South again with the really bad storms down there. They’re going through a lot right now and I’m sure they’d appreciate your concerns… Thanks!
Crush Caps!
I added captures from the Crush video (which is totally adorable by the way) – the video premieres online on September 15!
David Cook Blogs about Archie!
I just wanted to blog real quick and say how deeply moved I was by the show tonight. Kudos to everyone who put it on, and let’s do what we can to make sure that it’s not just about tonight, but everyday.
Thank you to everyone who donated, and I have to give kudos to David Archuleta’s Angels for their Crush Kids’ Cancer Team. They set a goal of $25,000, and exceeded it, raising $31,215.80, according to standup2cancer.org. WAY TO GO!!!
I also have to mention (proud parent of sorts), that “The Cookie Jar,” Cpt. Bridget Browne, standing with David Cook, also exceeded their goal.
Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart for all the support you’ve shown with this. It means the world to me and I’m glad to see everyone rally up.
Take care.
